Survival International is an NGO that champions tribal peoples and helps them to defend their lives, protect their lands and determine their own futures.
This international NGO needed to communicate the international importance of its work and raise its profile - ultimately to reach more supporters and raise more funds. They were looking for an innovative way to emphasise the organisation's global impact, pull together diverse communication strands and campaigns, engage more donors, and stand out in a crowded charity market. Working closely with Survival International's development team, we first helped them refine their brief, then acted as their creative guide throughout what became a multi-faceted design project. Together, we built a holistic design strategy, built from the customer's point of view. We identified the charity's key ideas, then crafted digital tools to communicate them clearly. With the development of a new visual language and architecture, the new website encourages exploration, enables navigation and engages visitors with compelling content. As well as building a new web platform, we designed interactive maps and stand-alone campaign pages.
